The purpose of the position is to monitor and assist with the administration, accounting, compliance and operational delivery of political funding processes as mandated under the Political Funding Act (PFA). This role supports the Division in ensuring accurate disclosures, effective fund management, adherence to statutory requirements and the provision of reliable financial, compliance and operational information for internal and external reporting. The position reports to the Deputy Manager: Political Funding.

• Compliance Monitoring on Annual Financial Statement (AFS)
• Administration of the PRF Allocation Processes:
• Reporting, Accounting and Financial Information Management
• Monitoring and Reporting on compliance on political parties, independent candidates and representatives’ information
• Budgeting and Financial Inputs
• Capacity Building and People Management
• Risk Management
• Stakeholder Relations Management
Basic requirements: Matric/N3, an appropriate Bachelor’s degree or three-year National Diploma in Finance or Accounting, with at least 6 years’ relevant working experience of which 4 years must be in a position with supervisory responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies: proven successful experience in general ledger maintenance, financial statements and audit preparation. Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and GRAP, Political Funding Act (PFA) and Donor disclosure regulations and frameworks. Understanding of political funding mechanisms, financial reporting, compliance monitoring and exposure to donor-funding accounting principles; Knowledge of project management principles; Understanding of Electoral Commission operations and delegation of powers; excellent computer literacy; Microsoft Excel (advanced). excellent office administration skills; good verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills. A valid driver’s license (Code EB) is compulsory, and candidates must be prepared to travel.
