Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
• National Diploma in Safety Management or Environmental Management/Health (NQF5)
• Preferable Mechanical/Electrical or Civil Engineering time served apprenticeships.
• Valid driver’s license
Experience:
• 3 years’ experience work experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering and plant equipment.
• 3 years’ experience in Safety; Occupational health and environmental field as a safety officer
Skills:
· Must be able to demonstrate technical/functional expertise
· Interpersonal skills – strong persuasion and influencing skills
· Leadership skills
· Presentation skills
· High level of both verbal and non-verbal communication skills in English
· Customer Care
· Professional Registration with SACPCMP
Knowledge:
· Environmental Management i.e., legal compliance audit, knowledge of Health and Safety legation OHS Act 85 of 1993; Intimate knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001
· Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite
