Job Purpose: Performs driving and operator tasks/activities associated with the transportation of heavy plant, machinery and equipment to/from relevant work sites.

Essential Requirements: •Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent. •Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code EC-14) • Hazchem DGP (Dangerous Goods and Passengers) training. •Sludge Spillages training or to be obtained within 6 months. • Heavy Plant Operator Certificate. •3 years relevant experience.

Special Conditions: •Required to work in all weather conditions. •Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies, unplanned and planned overtime. •Required to be on standby duties. Must be prepared to enter confined areas and work with dangerous substances.

Physical Requirements: The physical attributes required for the performance of tasks associated with specific key performance areas in this post necessitates that the incumbent be physically fit and able bodied.
