The key purpose of this role is to perform optimization of process control systems. Supports the installations of process control systems. Maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize brewing plant equipment and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.

- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts
- Maintain working knowledge of new technology instrumentation, software, etc., through reading and/or attending conferences, workshops or other training
- Provide engineering/projects support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades and enhancement
- Troubleshoot Brewing and E&F process control systems when required
- Uphold and contribute to a culture of quality & Food safety excellence, taking ownership of systems & processes to ensure the highest standards are met.
Core competencies of a Brewing Process Control Technician
- Good understanding of Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, SCADA programming & Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Troubleshooting skills with high-speed manufacturing equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
- Good understanding of industrial network communication – Profibus, Ethernet
- Sound knowledge of process calibration and instrumentation including but not limited to pressure, flow and temperature measurement
- Sound understanding of electrical schematics, piping & instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
Minimum requirements:
- Instrumentation N6
- Trade Tested Instrumentation Artisan
- 2 years on the job plus Allen-Bradley, RS Batch PLC Training
- Comprehensive Brewing plant equipment and process knowledge of Brewing and E&F plant
