Requirements :
- Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 10Certificate or equivalent qualification and a valid driver’s license Code 10/ C1 with a valid Professional Driver Permit (PDP). Proof of renewal of PDP to be attached if expired. Minimum of two years’ experience in driving heavy vehicles. Good understanding of Government fleet and knowledge of the transport handbook policy will be a recommendation. Be able to work in a team. Have good communication skills (verbal and written) and good customer care. Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and be able to work under pressure. Must be prepared to undergo a driving test.
Duties :
- Execute all authorized trips for MHCU’s and Staff. Collect and deliver documents and goods to and from other institutions. Collect and deliver medication, specimen to and from Wards, pharmacy and other institutions. Vehicle inspection. Check vehicle disk and COF. Complete the logbook and record usage of fuel cards. Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the Transport Officer. Ensure proper safe keeping of vehicle plus accessories and keep vehicle clean.
