Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- SAESI Higher Diploma in Fire Technology or National Diploma in Fire technology or Equivalent
- BLS with HPCSA Registration
- Code C1 with PrDP
- SAMTRAC or Equivalent
- Computer literate
- 8 Years Experience of which 2 Years Experience as Station Commander or Equivalent.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, lead and control the operations of an area and related activities for the department, ensuring effective service delivery.
- Manage the overall strategic planning, management and the administration of the emergency services operational section specifically with the implementation and strategic direction of the District
- Manage activities and oversee the management of operational resources at District level.
- Adhere to governance and risk management in terms of legislations, policies and procedures
- Adhere to governance and financial processes in terms of legislations, policies and procedures
- Ensure development of a customer service excellence culture and care for other person’s life and/or assets without favour and/or prejudice.
- Continuous assessment of own performance, professional interaction and ethical dealings with stakeholders/clients and co-workers whilst ensuring compliance to fair labour practise.

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
