Minimum Requirements
- 1 1. Must be a South African citizen,
- 2. Be under the age of 35 at the time of application,
- 3. Must have valid banking details (a bank account in his/her own name or a joint account specified as that by the bank)
- Have not held political office, been a candidate in elections, or been politically active for a political party or in campaigning for a political party in the past five (5) years.
- 5. Additionally, have not been elected to any organisation with party political affiliations or objectives in the past five (5) years
- 6. Have not been convicted of any criminal offences by a court of law or by a disciplinary committee of a university or TVET college.
- 7. Must be registered as a taxpayer, and a valid tax reference number must be provided on recruitment,
- 8. Must not have been convicted of a serious criminal offence, and
- 9. Must be a registered voter (verified)
Competencies Required
1.Must be computer Literate
- Have solid experience using mobile smart device with GIS Capabilities
- Willing to undergo training on the use of custom application on the Voter Management Device(VMD)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To conduct voter registration targeting youth as new voters for inclusion on the voters’ roll using the Voter Management Device (VMD).
2.Update existing voter registration details.
3.Registering voters in the correct Voting District (VD) where they ordinarily reside.
- Assisting in the administration and return of relevant materials, such as VMDs used in fieldwork.
- The Registration Officer will perform their duties under the direction, control, and discipline of the LEPO.
They are expected to carry out their responsibilities in a professional, dignified, competent, independent, impartial, and unbiased manner, free from fear, favouritism, or prejudice. Additionally, they must act with due diligence and care, and with the utmost good faith, while adhering to the terms and conditions outlined in their contract.
