Join the IEC’s creative production team as we enhance our digital capacity for the 2026 LGE. Working under the guidance of our Senior Graphic Designer, you’ll create engaging visual materials for electoral education and voter engagement campaigns, contributing to cohesive visual communications across the IEC’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create designs using Adobe Creative Suite following established brand guidelines
• Select appropriate colours, images, typography, and layouts for social media graphics, digital advertisements, and educational materials
• Assist in creating visual content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, and WhatsApp
• Collaborate with Content Writers to transform written materials into visually appealing social media posts and infographics
• Work with Multimedia Content Creator to develop static visual elements for interactive content
• Produce design drafts for Senior Graphic Designer review and implement revisions
• Support Videographer by creating graphic elements and visual assets for video content
• Review designs for errors and brand compliance before submission
• Assist in maintaining visual template libraries and brand asset collections
• Learn and apply latest design trends under Senior Graphic Designer mentorship
• Support urgent design requests and crisis communication visual materials
• Ensure all graphics meet IEC brand standards and are optimised for digital platforms
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years professional graphic design experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skills in digital design
• Understanding of social media design requirements and platform specifications
• Basic knowledge of brand guidelines and design consistency principles
• Willingness to learn and work under senior designer mentorship
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of current design trends and digital media formats
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Basic Employment Requirements:
• South African citizen
• Registered voter
• At least 18 years of age
• No criminal record for serious criminal offences
• Not a candidate in an election for National Assembly, provincial legislature, or municipal council in the last 5 years
• Not an office bearer of a political party in the last 5 years
• Not politically active or affiliated with political parties
• Based in Gauteng in the area of the national office
