ADMINISTRATOR: LAW ENFORCEMENT
Salary Range: R 257 678 to R 363 243 P/A plus benefits

Qualification Required: Degree / Diploma in Office Administration / Paralegal Studies / Business Administration / Public Administration or an equivalent NQF level 6 qualification

Requirements: Degree / Diploma in Office Administration / Paralegal Studies / Business Administration / Public Administration or an equivalent NQF level 6 qualification, coupled with 3 years’ experience in office administration, of which at least 2 years involved in extensive typing ? Experience in a law environment / legal environment will be an added advantage ? Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and applicable knowledge and experience on the Job may be considered during the selection process.

Essential criteria: Typing (at least 55 w.p.m., with accuracy essential) ? Good communication skills both verbal and written ? Good interpersonal skills ? Time management skills ? Ability to work under pressure ? Ability to work independently as well as within a team to reach objectives ? Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job ? Attention to detail ? Computer literate (MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint).

Key Performance Areas: ? Law Enforcement Administration: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the National Investigation Team (NIT), Coastal Regions and Prosecutions Department. Prepare and process dockets, affidavits, charge sheets, summonses, subpoenas, court registers and related correspondence in compliance with legislation. Register and audit new dockets, verify supporting documentation (including previous convictions), and track case progress through to finalisation. Liaise with Regional/ Provincial Managers and Prosecutors, communicate court dates, and ensure timely submission of documentation. Maintain records, inspection book registers and compile weekly, monthly and year-end performance statistics. ? Inspection & Docket Management: Review inspection reports for accuracy and compliance. Register and update new cases, audit docket details and validity of charges, attach supporting documentation, and prepare documentation for prosecution. Monitor docket movement and duration, update case lists, and provide statistical reports, including provident fund contraventions. ? Enforcement and Compliance (Complaints / Investigations / Criminal Cases): Allocate and monitor complaints and investigations, update relevant registers, and track internal transfers and finalisation outcomes. Maintain and update complaint, investigation and criminal case registers. Generate and report statistics on complaints received, finalised and pending in line with performance targets. Ensure completeness and accuracy of files, manage year-end register closures and carry-overs, and prepare files for archiving or destruction.
