Requirements :
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a pharmacist. A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience after registration as a pharmacist with the SAPC. A minimum of 3 years appropriate pharmacy supervisory and/or Pharmacy management experience. Current proof of annual fee payment and CPD compliance. A valid driver’s license. Strong leadership skills, ability to thrive under pressure and maintain high standard of professionalism. Ability to interact with key stakeholders.
Duties :
- The provision of pharmaceutical service in Johannesburg Health District in accordance with Medicines and Related Substance Act, PFMA and GPP. Assume the role of Responsible Pharmacist. Provision of financial, budget and expenditure management, with a focus on procurement practices and ensuring sound management of the annual pharmaceutical services budget. Effective and efficient operations management (including medicine supply management, infrastructure and equipment management). Ensure quality pharmaceutical services in line with Batho Pele principle. The provision of HR and HRD management. Manage and supervise pharmacists, pharmacist assistants and other support personnel. Evaluate, manage staff performance and development. Comply with the Performance Management and Development System. Monitor the availability and ensure safekeeping of medicines. Ensure compliance of Pharmaceutical Services with relevant legislation, Ideal Clinic Framework and NHI as applicable to Pharmacy. Support facilities with the implementation of Dablapmeds program and medicine management such as Rx solution, etc. Provision of in-service training, promoting the safe and rational use of medicines. Ensure training and implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures and statutory regulations. Plan, organize and manage all work-related projects. Active participation in the Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic committee.
