PHOTOCOPY OPERATOR (ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK – AC LEVEL)

The purpose of this position is to operate high-speed photocopying machines and related equipment in the legible production of various papers and documents. This position reports to the Senior Records Management Officer.
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for receiving documents for photocopying, printing, binding, laminating, and scanning; operating high-speed equipment to print, scan, and photocopy documents; cutting, laminating, and binding documents as required; collecting and shredding documents, including bulk shredding tasks; reporting faulty equipment and liaising with service providers for repairs, supplying photocopier consumables to user departments; monitoring and maintaining adequate stock levels of consumables; delivering completed work to the relevant clients or departments, ensuring the reproduction room remains neat, tidy, and organised; conducting routine maintenance checks to ensure machines are in good working condition; assisting with file and folder naming conventions and related activities and compiling and maintaining a monthly record of work performed.
Basic Requirements: The successful candidate must be in possession of a matric/N3 or junior certificate with a minimum of 3 year’s relevant working experience; related experience in a bulk reproduction and binding environment will be advantageous; knowledge of the Electoral Commission; good verbal communication and written skills; computer literacy; accuracy; responsible and dedicated individual; pay attention to detail and a high level of ethical conduct. Must be willing to work unplanned overtime.
