Salary: R 1,494,900–R 1,787,328 p.a. inclusive of benefits

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a qualification at NQF Level 7 as recognized by SAQA in Accounting (Financial Accounting) / Auditing / Cost and Management Accounting; Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) endorsed by the National School of Government; The requirements for application of Senior Management Services (SMS) include the successful completion of an SMS Preentry programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School Government (NSG) before appointment.
Experience: 5 years’ relevant experience in the field of financial management at a senior managerial level. Knowledge and Skills: Functional / Professional Knowledge (subject knowledge), Planning & Organizing, Innovation / Creativity, Computer Literacy, Policy Analysis and Development, Strategic Capability and Leadership, People Management and Empowerment, Programme and Project Management, Financial Management, Change Management and Service Delivery Innovation, and Executive Leadership Development Programme.
Key Performance Areas: The incumbent will provide strategic leadership in the Finance Department and Region; Oversee and co- ordinate the Region’s budget planning, implementation and monitoring processes; Oversee and ensure the effective management of the Regional financial accounting functions; Oversee the effective and efficient Supply Chain Management Services; Oversee the effective implementation of internal controls; Oversee / manage resources and matters pertaining to staff and performance of the Department.
