Introduction
Position/Task Grade: G16 Area of specialization: To provide Asset Information Management portfolio with engineering and design tools support, business intelligence and information at the required levels to the organisation to meet Generation Engineering objectives. Department: GX Head Office Engineering Business Unit: Asset Information Management Location: MWP
Key Responsibilities
• Plan strategically engineering Information management (IM) /information technology
• Develop and implement functional systems in-line with systems and tools technology vision, strategy
and direction setting.
• Be the custodian of engineering knowledge management.
• Manage engineering information technology/information management architecture and technology.
• Manage engineering information management/information system (IS) governance frameworks.
• Be responsible for specialised investigations and recommendations on solutions for digital
transformation initiatives.
• Manage information technology/information management service level agreements.
• Provide a consulting service to leadership and information management/information system functionaries
Minimum requirements
B Degree/B Tech/Advanced Diploma/ National Higher Diploma in Engineering/Computer Science/ Information
Systems/Information Technology at NQF7 with 360 credits
5 Years experience in an engineering environment in Eskom information technology/information management
environment or business and or control and instrumentation (C&I) process control information
technology/information management.
